My career began by studying Costume Design at the Fashion Institue of Design and Merchandising in  San Francisco. This experience opened many opportunities to work in the Theatre Arts both locally and in my hometown of New Orleans. After returning to New Orleans I worked as a personal assistant to a prominant photographer and was head of dressing and costuming for fashion photo shoots and shows. In 1986 I was awarded the "Alpha Award" for costuming.

In 2005 I moved to the greater Houston area where an opportunity presented itself to me as an apprentice in the decorative arts.

I soon realized the possiblities of continuing my career and created "Artemis Painting" in 2006. I have enjoyed working in this profession immensely and anticipate growing artistically and professionally for years to come.
